The Design Process

Step One:
Initial phone conversation or email submission by client with their requests for their site. Theme design bases are discussed and a base architecture is decided upon. Added features desired and available are discussed. A number and type of features is decided upon so that an estimate can be created.

Step Two:
Freebird Media will estimate the job and send or call client with estimate.

Step Three:
Payment by client. A minimum deposit of 50% is required for site setup. (Consultation appointments or additional post setup services are done on a retainer basis.)

Step Four:
Freebird Media begins project development, initial database and site setup. Initial add-on features are added to the site as requested by client and terms agreed upon. Once complete, second designer client meeting is scheduled.

Step Five:
Second client/designer meeting. Client is shown site in development and explained some basic site functionality. Any feature options are discussed. Any content not yet provided by the client will be discussed. Designer will send client a list after meeting of any remaining items needed for job completion.

Step Six:
Once all final materials are received from client, Freebird Media will complete final steps in site setup and a final appointment is scheduled between Freebird Media and client.

Step Seven:
Final meeting between designer and client. Designer walks client through the new site, provides password access for them and designer also walks client through the site’s backend operating and also discusses any special add-on features specific to their new site. Final payment is due at this point. Payment can be made by credit card via Google Checkout or by check via US mail. Additional future work can be also purchased at this time. Any work after the initial setup services is on a retainer basis contingent on the standard hourly rate terms.
